You’re invited to a very special meeting.

While our regular Thursday night Lodge Meetings are very important and effect almost everything we do... I understand they typically don’t generate a lot of excitement. Well, I hope this Thursday will be different. On April 5th we’re having a very special “Calling All Elks Meeting” where we’ll briefly recap our past lodge year, then outline in more detail our plans and goals for 2012-2013. Prior to the meeting we’ll be installing your new Lodge officers at 6:00 pm. We encourage all our members, their spouses and special guests to attend this important meeting where we’ll be discussing the future of the Cleveland Elks Lodge.

The actual meeting will start at 7:00 pm, but come early and join us for a 6:15 pm buffet dinner for only $5.50 each.

More About April & May...
The 2012 Annual Convention of the Tennessee Elks Association is coming up next week... April 12-15. It will be held at the Edgewater Hotel, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Hotel reservations must be made thru the TEA’s Housing Officer, Kenny Woodward, and will not be accepted by the Edgewater Hotel. Room rates will be $84.56, which includes taxes.

Surprise Band: we’re working on bringing in a surprise new band on Friday, May 27th. Watch for more details to follow.

Cinco de Mayo, is coming up on Saturday, (May 5th) this year and I’m sure our very talented and resourceful bar manager Heidi will have something special in the works.

We have a new date for our second Elks Indoor Yard Sale... May 10 & 11. This Elks fund raising event, will again be held at the old “Collins Manufacturing” building on 20th Street (near the railroad track). It’s a great opportunity for you to clean out your closets and basements... then fill them back up with some outstanding buys from the yard sale. Please contact Cheryl at the lodge for more information about donations or if you would like to volunteer to help.

You have one last chance to catch The Dexter Thomas Band at the lodge, before we take a long break for Summer. This very popular band to be here on Friday May 11. I encourage you to get your tickets right away for what is sure to be another fun night.

Mother’s Day Brunch... Sunday May 13th. Make your plans to join us for a special Mother’s Day Celebration Brunch.
